Dealing With Change
in The Workplace
Major shifts around the world are redefining
the way we work and live. We no longer have the budget
or the manpower to get the work done. The ongoing advance
of technology is causing major shifts in the workplace.
We
are forced to do more with less. Storms of change are
sweeping the workplace. The key to survival is to consistently
find creative ways to streamline processes and improve
bottom line results at the same time. We must be flexible
enough to accept what is and do the best we can.
There
are two kinds of people in the workplace. Rene Godefroy
calls them the glass people or the bamboo people. The
glass - when hit by a storm - will break into a zillion
little pieces. But the bamboo will bend, flex, and stand
again. The glass people often experience much stress and
low morale. They usually spread their negative attitudes
and often try to contaminate their co-workers.
Whining
and griping about how things have changed is a complete
waste of time. Change is not a problem. We are the problem…we
stand too rigid against it.
Too
many of us live life unconsciously. Therefore, even when
we notice things are changing in the workplace, it’s
already too late. The reality is that waves of change
are continuing to displace millions of employees. But
the good news is millions of new jobs will be available
to those who welcome change as an invited guest instead
of a mean intruder.
You
have to always rethink what you are doing and where you
are. Those who are willing to change their paradigm will
be in a position to take advantage of what’s coming.
The whiners and moaners will be insignificant and irrelevant.
Rene
Godefroy is one of the most qualified people on the planet
to address the issue of change in the workplace. After
living in extreme poverty and disease as a child in Haiti,
Rene arrived in America with $5 and unable to speak any
English. Today, he is the author of No Condition is Permanent,
CEO and President of his own company.
In
this keynote presentation — titled after his hot-selling
book — Rene will help your team rethink, refocus
and embrace change in the workplace. They’ll kick
their excuses goodbye and start looking at change as an
opportunity to grow. They’ll also start talking
about solutions instead of problems.
Solving
The Revolving Door Crisis
Real Live Ways Managers
Can Recruit &
Retain Quality Employees
In today’s economy, the single most
important leverage we have to compete globally and locally
is our HUMAN CAPITAL. In fact, it is the leverage upon
which companies revolve around. It isn’t about how
much you have in land, buildings or raw materials to get
the job done. It is rather how creative, motivated, and
eager your workforce is.
As
managers, supervisors and team leaders, we should not
keep unqualified bodies around just to fill empty positions.
The rules changed a long time ago. We can’t afford
to have spectators in the workplaces while countries like
China, Japan and India are vying to grab market share.
We must fully engage and energize everyone to contribute
their very best. That’s how we can compete globally.
It
is our jobs to make our work interesting and engaging
for our employees. We have to provide low-cost and no-cost
incentives that will make our employees look forward to
coming to work and participating. By the way, the highest
form of incentive we can give them costs absolutely nothing.
If we want to increase the bottom line, we have to shower
it lavishly on the frontline.
Rene
Godefroy’s celebrated career in the frontline has
thought him a powerful lesson on how to re-energize and
motivate the workplace in order to increase productivity
and reduce turnover. The problem is simple…in today’s
workforce, there’s a huge gap between the frontline
and management. In this presentation, Rene shares tools
and strategies you can use to help close that gap.
