Motivational Success Story: Page 19 of 25

Today, I totally forgive the man and his wife for their lack of understanding that night. I am sure they didnt realize what their remarks did to my self-confidence. While they are good people with goo intentions, unfortunately it came to a point where I stopped sharing my dreams with them.

BuildDont Destroy I share this story with you not because I resent them. I simply want to make you aware of how others can kill your drea in a heartbeat. It also illustrates that many times the dream busters are good people who mean well.

We should not try to get even with them or resent them, because they dont know what they are doing. I know some act out of pure jealousy; they destroy our dreams on purpose. However, many tend to mean well. Whatever the case, you cant let someone elses ignorance destroy you. Move on! You can spend ten to twenty years building a dream that a negative person can destroy in one minute. Not long ago, I witnessed a team of men demolishing a building. The job was done in no time. I asked th man in charge about what it would take to rebuild.

His answer didnt surprise me. He said to me the demolishers have very low skills; their specialty is to demolishto tear apart. He went on to tell me its a lot easier to find excellent destroyers than decent builders. Rebuilding takes much more time and talent. Beware. You might be surrounded by destroyers who abuse you and tear you apart with such finesse that you dont notice it. Whats remarkable about some destroyers is that they may not even realize wha they are doingtheyre simply creatures of habit.

Yet, if you pay close attention, you will notice their intention. They have a way of talking you out of your calling. Dont you know people like this? They are on a mission to take you to the gutters wit them.

The truth is, every now and then we can all get into a destroying mood Every day I check myself to make sure that I am not stepping on someone elses dream. I urge you to do the same. When others trust and value you enough to share their goals and dreams with you, they are looking for encouragement.
