Believe When Others Doubt!
Believe When Others Doubt!
Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small peopl
always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too,
can become great. Mark Twain
T here are times when you will come up with a great idea that you
know and believe is a good one. If the idea makes enough sense, some
people will become excited and want to help you make it a reality by
investing their time or money. Not everybody will rally behind you.
In fact, there are those who will probably ridicule you. They will tal
negatively about you behind your back and try to discourage you. They
may even suggest that youre borderline crazy.
There are doubters to every new idea. You must not let these
doubters stop you from pressing on. They are not qualified to be
your fortuneteller; they do not have all the answers. Can you
overcome these doubters? Yes.
You must simply believe in yourself and in your own abilities. Its nic
if others believe in you, of course. In fact, thats great oxygen for
your soul; but ultimately its your own internal fuel of belief that
must keep you going.
Many of my fellow villagers gave up on me. They didnt think I was goin
to survive. Their cynical predictions loomed over me throughout my
childhood. All around me were messengers telling me that I would not
long survivethat my life would be brief and painful.
Some even said that I would nevercould never accomplish anything
worthwhile before I died. According to these doubters, for me to
even try to achieve something worthwhile would be pointlessto
believe otherwise would be foolish.
Those were their words and beliefs. I had my own internal
beliefsthat my life would not only continue, but it would also get muc
better. I predicted for myself a better life. I saw my own light at
the end of the tunnel. I believed a tide would one day come in to
lift my boat.
