If you’ve been watching television, particular CNN, Issue #1 is the economy. It’s everywhere. People are talking about it everywhere.

Not only is it in the media, you go to the coffee shops, they are talking about it. They are talking about it in the living room, in the dining room, in the break room at work. If you go to the grocery store, they are making some comments about the economy!

Now, I’m not an economist. There are a lot of things I don’t understand about the economy. But my question is, where is the money? Yeah, whatever happened to the money? Ok, do you remember the commercial for Wendy’s? Where’s the beef? Where’s the money? (more…)

Work! Work!

Tomorrow I am flying to Monroe, Louisiana to keynote a conference for 500 university students.

I usually get to speak for corporate clients. But once in a while, I get to share my message with students. It’s always a treat for me.

Anyway, I started saying work, work, work. I want to make a point here. Since I left my last job, I never work. You see, I absolutely love what I do. To me, it’s not work.

The key to success is do to what you really, really love. When that’s the case, you will bear the difficult moments with grace.

You may not make a lot of money to start with. But you will find strong reasons to persevere.

Back From Haiti

Yes! I am back from my village in Haiti! I know many of you want to know about my trip. All I can say is that it was fantastic! At one point, I was a little concerned. The hurricane hit while I was in the village.

The loud sound of the gigantic ocean waves clashing as well as the violent wind buffeting the trees and houses woke me up. It brought back memories of a hurricane I survived in the village 30 years ago. Trust me, I definitely didn’t want a repeat of that. Thankfully, everything was fine.
