I know. I know. It's been a while since you've heard from me. I think the last time we touched base was about a month ago. I do get lots of email from some of you asking me if I have been hiding. Hiding? No.

Let's Start the Conversation.
I want to know your feedback =>Click Here

I'm just out there seeking my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and making a difference at the same time. I really love the making-a-difference part.

Talking about instant gratification! You get off stage, people in your audiences start telling you what they will do differently to change their current situation. You know what? Many times it's not because of something I said. It's because of something I didn't say.

It's because of something that makes them think of the solutions to their problems on their own. That's why I believe we each can be a catalyst for change. Of course, my speeches always, in some ways, communicate to the reader that if I can do it, you can, too. And, it's usually after they hear how I fought, battled and overcame poverty and sickness in tiny Haitian village.

Basically, I tell them enough excuses or trying to get your all ducks I a row. The situation is never going to get as right as you want it to be. I say to them. Just start now and perfect as you go.

How much more information do we need before we muster the courage to start? How much more information do we need before we can step into the light and go for the promotion; start the business; and do the things we are afraid of?

The answer is NONE.

Yes, you need solid and useful information to help get there faster. But you can acquire the information as you go. Does that make any sense to you? Yes?

Speaking of information...

Why is it that we are drawing in a sea of information yet we continue to starve for more? Why it is that we are so confused? If so much information is available to use for free, why then do we continue to beat a path to the guru's door?

There are several reasons.

You see, the mind is silly. We love free stuff but yet inherently we know free is not good. In fact most people judge quality based on whether what they are getting is free, cheap or expensive.

Here's what often happens to us: Since we can get so much information for free, we quickly dismiss it as useless. Another reason is the information we are getting often has no emotion to it. Or, shall I say no stickiness to it? There's not enough creative adaptation to it. It's not well organized. And it isn't in a format that fires up our inspiration engine.

Basically, it isn't so much about the message; it's about the messenger. And this is a whole topic in and of itself. The sad commentary about all of this is too much of useless, dull and uninspired information distracts us from focusing on really what matters. A good example is the email addiction. I know something about. Hey, I struggle with it, too.

Alright, on with something inspirational...

As you might recall, last December I told you I was going to Haiti to have Christmas dinner with 28 poor kids at an orphanage. Did I tell about that dinner already? Maybe not. My first stop was in a city called Cayes. There I visited an orphanage for three days in a row. Then I headed to my beloved village.

Since I didn't have the time to set up two dinners back to back, I decided to share some dinero money with my fellow villagers.

By the way, I have a very powerful technique I want to share with you next time. It's a persuasion technique to help you get what you ask for every time. A fellow villager tried it on me as if I didn't know what he was doing. Though, I kind of forgot about it until he laid it on me.

I'll make a note to share it with you next time. It's a psychological trigger. Hint: it's about the Law of comparison.

Anyway, It was the best Christmas ever for me! I had the time of my life with those kids. They s</itunes:summary>

Let's Start the Conversation. What's your must?=>Click Here

This is probably the last conversation that I will have with you because it’s December and the year is about to end.

Well, I have a powerful secret that can make this New Year far more productive for you than the last 5 years. This one tip that I will share with you will help you accomplish things faster.

It’s actually one word!

And you’ll be amazed at how effective that word can boost your productivity. Trust me, I’ve been using that one word and, I’ve seen major results in my life.

But first, I have a question for you.

Did you set new goals for this year? Did you sit down in December, October, or any time and write a list of goals that you wanted to accomplish?

Well, if you did, congratulations! The very fact that you sat down and wrote some goals moved you to the top 3% of the population. That’s right, only 3% of us write down goals. Let’s me say to you that are part of a distinguished group… the elite.

If you didn’t take the time to write down your goals perhaps it has something to do with your fears. And there are several reasons for those fears.

One of them is a fear of failure. You think about a particular goal you want to accomplish and you begin to feel a sense of inadequacy.

Somehow, you think you won’t be able to accomplish your goals. The reality is no one wants to walk around feeling like a failure, right?

Another reason is because you might think it’s too cliché. It’s kind of like hearing something so many times and the mind blocks it out. Another reason people don’t set goals is simply because they are procrastinators.

If that’s you, then you are one of those some-day-I-will types of people. Or you are one of those with a big but blocking the way.
You say, “I want to increase my income, but…” or "I want to strengthen my relationships, but...” or "I want to pay off my debt but…” “I want to save more money this year, but…". We all use this language every now and then.

Just get your but out of the way!

Write down 25 goals you want to accomplish this New Year. If you feel like writing more, go for it. However, you must set smart goals.

I am sure you’ve heard of this acronym before. SMART stands for:

Specific: You must know exactly what it is that you want. It’s not enough to pray for something abstractly. You’ve got to describe exactly what it is that you are praying for. Describe it in specific details. The more you can describe it, the faster you can accomplish it.

Measurable: It is said that what can be measured can be improved. It should be measurable in a way that you know where you are on the journey and what you can do to improve.

Achievable: You may have to stretch a bit to reach your goal. But it’s achievable or attainable.

If you are out of work and heavily in debt right now, don’t set a goal to be a millionaire by the end of the year. Focusing on such long range and potentially impractical aims can misguide you and steal your enthusiasm.

It’s great to dream the impossible dream but set realistic goals to achieve the dream.

Rewarding: Make sure it’s something that’s fulfilling and rewarding. Like Steven Covey says in his book, lean the ladder on the right building before you start climbing. Don’t do it because you want to compete with your peers. Do it because you want it.

Timely: Set a time frame. The reason why you want to set a date is to avoid procrastination. When there’s no set date, the mind will steer toward procrastination. Say to yourself, “In three months, or by October 31...</itunes:summary>

I want to talk to you about Nancy. Nancy is the kind of person you don’t want around you. I’m sure all of you listening or reading this can say you have a Nancy, maybe even more than one, around you right now.

She may be in your family. She may be at your workplace. She may even be at church. Wherever she is stay away from her.

But first, I have some good news to share with you. The last few weeks have been really busy. I had a chance to keynote some very important conferences. I was in L.A. keynoting a conference for Mark Victor Hansen.

You probably know Mark Victor Hansen by Chicken Soup for the Soul. Maybe you have a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul on your bed or around your office or in your room that you’ve read or intend to read.

The conference, the Mega Speaking Empire, was for speakers and aspiring speakers. I had a chance to share the platform not only with Mark Victor Hansen but with Brian Tracy.

Now understand when I came to this country I was 21 years old. First I was a boat carpenter in Miami. Then I was a janitorial boy in 163rd Mall picking up leftover food on the floor and mopping the floor.

I didn’t speak any English whatsoever. In my late 20’s I discovered some of Brian Tracy’s materials, tapes, and books. I started reading them. To me, Brian Tracy was way up there and rightfully so.

When you are a young immigrant, don’t speak the language, have zero connections and resources you can only look at a person like Brian Tracy in respect, awe, and amazement.

I never thought In my wildest dreams that one day I’d be able to share the platform with him. After my presentation Brian came to me. He gave me this huge bear hug and he whispered I’m just so proud of you.

There were so many people at the conference who wanted my time. Some wanted just five minutes to talk to me over coffee. Some wanted to meet for lunch, breakfast, or dinner.

And some wanted to discuss business. One man who's starting a very successful non profit organization wanted me to be on his Board. There was even a highly successful doctor who suggested that I run for senator in Georgia. Wow! I said I’d have to think about that.

Staying for the entire conference made me exhausted. I flew back to Atlanta. I keynoted another conference two days later in Atlanta. Then I went to Palm Springs, California.

That trip was significant to me because I took my mother with me. Mama had never been to California and she always said to me that she would love to visit California one day. I bought a ticket and flew her with me.

The lady was so striking! She dressed so impeccable. You should have seen her. Mama had a ball. She walked around the hotel enjoying all of the great things in the hotel and buying stuff.

She sat in the audience during my presentation for 1500 high powered mortgage brokers. I recognized her.

She stood up and they gave her a huge standing ovation. Mama was crying. Well, she always cries when she sees me speak because she remembers how tough life was for us in Haiti.

As you can see in the picture below, that’s me on the left and that’s my mother on the right. As if you have not figured that out already. You see the line to the right going all around? You can’t see the end of the line because the camera cut part of the crowd.

That’s how many people that were waiting in line for me to autograph my books to them. Some bought five, six, seven, ten books. They bought CD’s, DVD’s. I just read my book on CD. It’s a six CD set word for word. They bought a lot of them. They were buying for their friends and family as Christmas gifts. Go figure!

My mother was </itunes:summary>
